Prologis, one of the world’s largest warehouse developers, plans to build the Del Amo and Prairie Center Project — a 403,000 sq. ft. industrial warehouse with 56 truck dock doors on the 31 acres at the northeast corner of Del Amo Blvd. and Prairie Ave. That means trucks (possibly 2,000 daily), diesel exhaust, noise, and light near your home — day and night. They operate 24/7. Big trucks will travel to the site from the 405 Freeway down Prairie, Crenshaw, and possibly Hawthorne and Western Avenue.

The last chance to stop this is on the agenda for the City of Torrance Planning Commission meeting, tonight Aug.19, 6:30 p.m. at Leroy J. Jackson Council Chamber, 3031 Torrance Blvd. Anyone may speak — no appointment needed.

What to do:

• In person before the meeting: Fill out a speaker card at the back of the council chamber and submit it to the clerk before the item begins.

• Public Comment Limits: Speakers are generally allowed up to 3 minutes to voice their opinions.

Alternative Ways to Participate

• Written Comments: Send emails to PlanningCommission@TorranceCA.gov ahead of the meeting to be included in the official record.
