To promote how beautiful drought-tolerant and California-native landscaping can be and celebrate the collaboration designed to lead to significant long-term water savings, California Water Service and the City of Carson will dedicate the city’s new water-wise landscaping around City Hall. The landscaping exemplifies the conservation changes that the State is emphasizing through its recent adoption of regulations for water utilities to reduce water use in their service areas. The project demonstrates how water-wise gardens do not have to sacrifice beauty and the new landscaping could save an estimated 23.3 million gallons of water annually.
