Join Thursday evening for a free social justice Black-centered film series and community conversation at the Expo Arts Center. Conscious Cinema is intended for a diverse, intergenerational audience, recommended for audiences ages 16 and older, due to mature content (language and violence) recorded during the civil rights movement. Groups are encouraged to attend.
The series of three outstanding films will showcase across Long Beach, connecting lessons from the past to movement building still happening today. Attendees will learn ways to take part in local social change to make Long Beach the best it can be.
