The City of Carson and the Carson Citizens Cultural Arts Foundation will be presenting the 9th Annual “It’s All About Me” Women’s Health Conference and Business Expo, Oct. 20, as part of the month-long National Breast Cancer Awareness campaign to educate the community about breast cancer awareness and women’s overall health.
This year’s conference features more than 20 qualified medical professionals and keynote speakers Dr. Gloria Morrow, a licensed clinical psychologist, speaker and author, Sunny Soltani, the first female city attorney in the City of Carson, and Mistress of Ceremonies Nadine Ward. Attendees will enjoy breakfast, lunch, an informative panel discussion, breakout sessions that cover two educational workshops, live entertainment, and a swag bag.
For the first time, the program expanded to include topics specific to young women. The Young Women’s Edition is for ages 18-30 and features Mistress of Ceremonies Dr. Yolanda “Yo-Yo” Whitaker and keynote speaker Cece the Mamacita. The program will be held in one room from 9 a.m. -2 p.m. Attendees will enjoy breakfast, lunch, presentations, and networking. Transportation is free from CSUDH to the Carson Event Center. Participants who fall within this designated age group must choose to attend one or the other.
For both programs, same-day registrations or walk-ins will not be accepted.
