Fights Ends in Deadly Stabbing

Long Beach Police Department officers found 51-year-old Anthony Ramirez laying on the street, at about 8:15 p.m. Nov. 3, on the 1900 block of Locust Avenue, while responding to a call about a fight, officials said.

Ramirez was apparently stabbed. Long Beach Fire Department paramedics took Ramirez to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The motive of the stabbing is unknown. Investigators believe Ramirez was involved in a physical fight with a group of people before the stabbing.

No suspect information is available. The incident is being investigated as possibly gang-related.
