Barnes originally was charged with felony possession of a destructive device in a public place, a crime that could have carried up to six years in prison. No one was injured during the May 28 explosion after Barnes placed the a bottle of dry ice in a thrash can and it exploded after a janitor unknowingly left the bottle on the ground.

However officials closed the area of the park, known as Toontown for about three hours.
