LA COUNTY — LA County Library is partnering with the LA County Department of Public Health to provide flu vaccinations, the updated 2023-24 COVID-19 vaccine, and Mpox vaccine at clinics taking place throughout the fall at select libraries. Health insurance is not required, however insurance card information is required for those who are insured. Immigration status will not be requested.
The CDC recommends the 2023–2024 updated COVID-19 vaccines to protect against serious illness from COVID-19. Public Health recommends flu vaccinations for everyone six months of age and over, including healthy children and adults. The flu vaccine has been shown to reduce flu-related illnesses and the risk of serious flu complications that can result in hospitalization or even death.
The Mpox vaccine is only available to eligible groups. The updated 2023-24 COVID-19 vaccine is available to people aged 12 and older. For more information about eligibility, please visit: LACountyLibrary.org/VaccineClinics.
Vaccine Clinics will be held at select LA County Library locations through Dec. 20. Walk-ins are accepted, but customers are encouraged to make appointments online at myturn.ca.gov to avoid longer wait times. Vaccines are available while supplies last. Vaccine brands are subject to availability.
