Ann and Steve Hinchliffe San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA in partnership with Palos Verdes Art Center ask teens to get creative this summer in the Wessel Photography Program. Led by LA-based photojournalist and artist Henry Cherry, the five-week program will guide youth to a fun and engaging exploration of photography.
Try out multiple processes of photography in various settings. Play with color, composition, light, and shadow to create exciting effects. By the end of the course, students will be expressing their creativity, and conversing about photography, with confidence. This class meets at the San Pedro & Peninsula YMCA for five weeks, July 11 – August 10, on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11am-12:30pm.
The class is free with YMCA membership, now offered to teens at no cost for the summer. Details at ymcla.org or contact Gail Phinney at gphinney@pvart.org and https://tinyurl.com/Summer-art-academy for assistance
