ALERT: Assembly District Election

The California Democratic Party Assembly District Elections Meeting or ADEM are held in each of the 80 Assembly Districts in January of each odd-numbered year in order to elect representatives as Assembly District delegates or ADDs to the California Democratic Party Democratic State central committee and one representative per Assembly District to the CDP executive board representative.

ADEM elections are underway and this reminder provides instructions to ensure your vote is counted.

Vote-by-mail, ballots were mailed out Jan. 13 so you should have received it already or you should be receiving it any day now. Check your mailbox.

Ensure that you mail your ballot back in time for it to arrive at the party by the Jan. 31 deadline. You may also drop your ballot off at any in-person voting location of your choice.

If you are planning on voting in-person or dropping off your ballot at a voting location, find below three local voting locations near this district:

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 21

Venue: Full Gospel Baptist Church, 6900 Compton Ave., LA.

Time: 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Jan. 22

Venue: VFW Post 2967, 1130 W. Anaheim Street, Wilmington

Time: 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., Jan. 21

Venue: George Nakano Theater, 3330 Civic Center Dr, Torrance

Important ballot instructions:

  • You must include your pin number on your ballot, otherwise it will be invalid and your vote will not be counted. You can find your pin here: https://ademelections.com/register/find
  • You may only vote for 14 candidates on your ballot. If you fill in more than 14 options, your ballot will be invalid and your votes will not count.
  • The attached flyer includes a sample ballot and shows you how to vote for our entire AD 65 Progressive/Labor slate by referencing each slate member’s corresponding ballot number, that you’ll mark on the scantron (ie. ballot). Take this flyer with you or save it in your phone if you are going to vote in-person and use it as a voter guide
