Pajama Party For A Good Cause

On Dec. 6, Food Finders and the Second District office will take casual wear to the extreme with a citywide “Wear Your Pajamas to Work Day” asking residents, office workers and anyone who feels inclined to don pajamas for the day and donate a pair of new pajamas to the young, in-need residents of Long Beach and its surrounding communities.

Local businesses are encouraged to participate as a drop off location by calling 562.283.1400 extension 101.  Residents are encouraged to bring pajamas and related items to current donation drop off locations, which include the Second Council District office at City Hall, Food Finders office The Federal Bar on Pine Avenue,  Apostrophe Books  and Sababa Restaurant and Lounge in the Marketplace on Pacific Coast Highway and 2nd Street.

New pajamas, slippers, books and robes for children aged infant to 18 years old will be accepted through Dec. 18. Those donating will be rewarded with a certificate for a complimentary appetizer at Sababa Restaurant & Lounge (www.gosababa.com).
