The Long Beach City Council will consider, at 5 p.m. Nov. 12, directing Chief of Police Jim McDonnell to present a plan would provide a valid cost to establish a special sex crime unit.
The city council also is scheduled to vote on an agreement for baggage handling systems at the Long BeachAirport. The city would enter into a 2-year agreement for an amount not to exceed $1,1114,911 with John Bean Technologies, to perform maintenance and improvement of the systems with two optional 1-year renewals for not to exceed $300,000 per year at the city manager’s discretion.
In addition, the council will consider a triennial code adoption amending an ordinance related to the Long Beach Building Standards Code.
