Public Works Improvisational Theater Presents 50th Anniversary Celebration, Confessions of a Pulpiteer with Lee Boek

A foot stompin’ hallelujah show about life at the crossroads of politics, religion and liberation. Lee Boek was a boy evangelist who later used his preaching techniques as a vacuum cleaner salesman, and that’s only one of the revelations in this hilarious and thoughtful show. Accompanied by bass clarinetist Paul Fleisher. Directed by Ishmael Johnson.

Time: 4 p.m., Nov. 1

Cost: $10 in person, at the door. $5.99 livestream

Venue: CFI West Center for Inquiry, 2535 W. Temple St., Los Angeles
