In celebration of National Poetry Month, Philippine Expressions Bookshop presents a poetry reading of the works of FilAM poets Carlos Bulosan and Philip Vera Cruz, as well as four Philippine National Artists for Literature: Nick Joaquin, NVM Gonzalez, Jose Garcia Villa and Edith L. Tiempo.
The event will also set the stage for the launch of a poetry book on food by visiting Manila-based cookbook writer and culinary expert, Nina Daza Puyat, TUGTONG: Mga Tulang Bugtong Para sa Mga Pinoy na Mahilig Kumain. She will also be presenting her first children’s book, Ang Alamat ng Lumpiang Shanghai.
April 29 is also the 10th anniversary of Independent Bookstore Day.
