The City of Carson will join the entire nation in paying tribute to America’s war veterans as it hosts its annual Veterans Day Celebration Nov. 11.
The event will include a special recognition to veterans and soldiers serving in wars around the world. Traditional military rites including a flag folding ceremony will also be observed as part of the tribute. Additionally, new names that were added to the City of Carson’s Veterans’ Wall will be presented during the event. The keynote speaker is retired United States Air Force Officer Shawn Eure who worked as an officer in Space Operations, Communications and Information Systems, and Cyber Warfare. After serving for 20 years, she retired in 2010 and made Carson her home.
Emmy Award and two Golden Mike Award NBC4 reporter, Ted Chen will serve as the event’s Master of Ceremonies.
The event will also include patriotic music, veteran information booths, veteran museum display, live entertainment, Carson High School MCJROTC and band.
The Veterans Day Celebration is an annual event of the City of Carson.
