Roz Wyman embraces Hahn at unveiling of Wyman plaque at Coliseum Court of Honor
LOS ANGELES — Los Angeles County Supervisor Janice Hahn Oct. 27 has released the following statement on the passing of former Los Angeles City Councilwoman Roz Wyman, her father’s partner in bringing the Dodgers to Los Angeles.
As a member of the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, Hahn has also asked that the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum torch to be lit in her honor. Last September, Hahn unveiled Wyman’s plaque at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Court of Honor.
“I grew up admiring Roz. She was one of the few women in Los Angeles politics and I saw, up close, her work with my father to bring the Dodgers to Los Angeles. She was a force to be reckoned with, which is why it is appropriate that she is now enshrined in the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Court of Honor. This city lost a great woman and I am sure the entire Dodgers organization is mourning the loss of their number one fan.”
