Be The Peace (Global Meditation Mob)
Join us in a global meditation, on the International Day of Peace, from 6 to 7 p.m. Sept. 21, at Granada Beach in Long Beach.
Whether you stay for 5 minutes or the entire hour, people from all walks of life are encouraged to come experience silent self-guided meditation.

Sept. 22
Long Beach Latin Gay Pride
Long Beach Latin Gay Pride will be coming to Long Beach, from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 22, at the Marina Green Park on Shoreline Drive in Long Beach. This years’ musical headliner is Vilma Diaz and La Sonora.

This cultural celebration will honor the traditions of the Latin community as well as empower those that attend with the ever essence of unity. The festival will showcase inspiring music and dance performances; food, general merchandise, information and vending booths; and include various games and activities for members of our community.

This event will benefit California Families in Focus, a nonprofit that serves the needs of families and children in the Long Beach area. California Families in Focus is known for their many charitable events such as; the annual Spirit of Christmas Brunch, which serves over 700 children and families during the holiday season. Admission is $15.

Good Neighbor Festival
Take part in the Good Neighbor Festival and Picnic, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29, at El Dorado Park in Long Beach. Free food, information booths, displays, games and a watermelon eating contest also will be part of this event.

Women’s Entrepeneur Conference
Explore the Women’s Entrepeneur Conference and Holiday Boutique, from 12 to 6 p.m. Oct. 21, at the Croation Cultural Center in San Pedro. The event will include free seminars, raffles and guest speakers.
