The City of Carson will host a night of non-stop performances on Feb. 23 as Carson joins the nation in commemorating Black History Month.
The event is open to the public.
This year’s event features a host of musical selections, dances and tributes with the theme, California Dreamin’: The West Coast Migration. Special guest speakers include Roland Bynum, Dr. M. Keith Claybrook, Jr. and Alison Rose-Jefferson. Music selections are inspired by the songs of artists such as Etta James, Sam Cooke, James Cleveland, WAR, Sly and the Family Stone, and Solar Record with a special Tribute to Leon Silvers.
