Share Memento’s at the Dia de los Muertos Community Altar

Dia de los Muertos is a time to remember the lives of the dead with reverence and celebration. Angels Gate Cultural Center is creating a Dia de los Muertos community altar with the help of many hands to commemorate departed friends.

From Oct. 12 to 28, you’re invited to participate in creating the altar by contributing photos and mementos to display at AGCC in honor of your ancestors and loved ones. This altar will remain on display through Nov. 18 for viewing and reflection.

How to Participate:

Come to the front office in building A, Thursday – Saturday, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.,, Oct. 12 through 28..

Bring a small item of personal significance. For photographs, it is recommended you bring a copy – not an original. A frame is optional.

Write your contact information on the back or bottom of the item (name, telephone, email), and sign our contact sheet.

Your item will be incorporated into the community altar.

Beginning Nov. 23, you can retrieve your personal items through Dec. 2 (AGCC’s Open Studios Day), between the hours of 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Thursday – Saturday.
