On June 28, the Harbor Community Benefit Foundation (HCBF) is hosting a community meeting regarding the launch of a Noise Mitigation Program in Wilmington. The program is intended to assist in the development and implementation of a noise mitigation plan for schools and residences impacted by the operations of the TraPac terminal.
During the summer of 2012, Landrum & Brown consultants will monitor local schools and residential areas that are being impacted by TraPac terminal operations at the Berth 136 in the Port of Los Angeles.
Attend the community meeting and learn more about the program. The meeting begins at 6:30p.m. Approximately twenty locations will be selected for monitoring. You can help the experts determine the monitoring locations. Provide your input at the meeting or send an email to: info@hcbf.org.
HCBF was founded in May 2011 to mitigate off-port impacts, created by existing and future Port operations, in the communities of Wilmington and San Pedro. HCBF funds projects that create a healthy environment to live, work, and play in the port communities.
