Join SEA Club
Kindergarten through second grade students enrolled in Cabrillo Marine Aquarium’s SEA Club (Science Education Afternoons) will learn while having fun exploring the local marine environment. The club will meet from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on four consecutive Wednesdays, April 9 through the 30th.
The Aquarium’s marine laboratory classroom will serve as a base station for hands-on ocean exploration. Under the guidance of CMA’s education staff, students will have an opportunity to use microscopes, binoculars, and other scientific tools during their expeditions around the Aquarium and different destinations within the Cabrillo Coastal Park. Activities may include treks to the adjacent Point Fermin tidepools, investigations of the sandy beach, and visits to the Salinas de San Pedro Saltmarsh where the children will observe animals in nature and learn about the marine habitats of Southern California.
