Slap and Tickle Workshop
Join The Center Long Beach, at 6:30 p.m. April 11, for a workshop that supports safe and healthy practices for the expression of sexual diversity irrespective of gender, gender identity, sexual orientation or alternative activity.
The workshop honors exploration in the world of bondage, discipline and sadomasochism.
Touch is a powerful way to connect intimately with a partner. Whether you are new to BDSM, a seasoned veteran or consider yourself a dabbler in the world of kink, your hands are your most readily
available “toy”. Tantalizing, teasing and trembling torture are all possible through the use of touch. Tickling, pinching, slapping, caressing, spanking, poking, and flicking are just a few of the possible ways you might use your hands as a tool for pleasure and pain. Is this class hands-on? You betcha!
A donation of $15 is requested. All proceeds benefit programs and services at The Center.

PortTechForum Presents Ideas for Sustainable Infrastructure
SAN PEDRO — PortTech Los Angeles is hosting the PortTechForum, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. April 16, at Los Angeles Harbor College.
The Forum features ways to achieve a brighter, more sustainable future through clean technologies that provide ingenious solutions to lighting and engineering challenges.
Robert Rutherford, the CEO for Hive Lighting, is going to discuss how he created products that provide high quality lighting and save customers time and money.
Eric Jacobs, a senior mechanical engineer with P2S Engineering, will talk about the benefits of a large electrical infrastructure replacement project underway that incorporates several clean technology solutions for ports.
Both speakers represent companies providing sustainable products. Hive’s lamps are used by NBC, ABC and FOX and have set new benchmarks for energy-efficiency by using 50 to 90 percent less energy than conventional studio fixtures. The company also produces high-quality, cost-effective lighting for ports, streetlights and parking lots.
P2S Engineering has extensive experience and expertise in sustainable engineering and green building design. The company has been instrumental in defining new standards for high-performance commercial buildings that address energy efficiency, environmental impacts, water efficiency and indoor environmental quality. These sustainable standards allow their clients to qualify for LEED certification in engineering designs.
The forum will wrap up with two presentations by PortTechLA staff members. Stan Tomsic, PortTechLA’s Executive Director, is going to provide expert advice and insight on how to participate in the Cleantech Open, the world’s largest clean technology business competition.
