Cevapcici Festival

September 10 is the Cevapcici Festival, from 12 to 6 p.m. at Angels Gate Cultural Center.

Cevapcici is named after a ground meat, beef and lamb combination. It is grilled and served with Ivar sauce. It's common to the Balkans and shared by many of the ethnic groups in the region.

This year the event will include food vendors, a craft fair and non-stop music, from Tambouritza to Surf Rock.

A Spoonful of Sherman

The Golden State Pops Orchestra presents Music from The Sherman Brothers, at 8 p.m. Sept. 24, at the Warner Grand Theatre in San Pedro.

The music celebrating the Sherman Brothers includes music from the composers of Mary Poppins, The Jungle Book and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Music and Art at the Croatian Cultural Center.
