Harpo Productions Workshop for Long Beach Teens
Tenia Davis, vice president of human resources at Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo
Productions, will be hosting a youth workshop for the Long Beach Poly Alumni
Association at 1 p.m. July 23, at the Martin Luther King Park Community Center
in Long Beach.
The topic of conversation will be on Branding and identity strategies of
high school students. Teens are being transformed from passive consumers to
active consumers and creators. In the workshop, the students will first define, "Identity," and consider who
they are and what they value most in life, where they want to go and where they
actually see themselves going. The students then will explore more in detail their
answers and see how they have dealt with the issue if image and identity. As a
culminating activity, students respond to the question, "who am I."
Venue: Martin Luther King Park Community Center Location: 1950 Lemon Ave., Long Beach
