Wilmington–On June 27, Los Angeles City Councilwoman Janice Hahn was sworn into office for her third term by her brother, former mayor turned Superior Court Judge James Hahn at the Banning Residence Museum in Wilmington. In attendance, City Attorney-elect Carmen "Nuch" Trutanich, Carson Mayor Jim Dear, and Long Beach City Councilman Robert Garcia. In her inaugural address to the crowd, Hahn touched upon the importance of intervention and prevention in youth involvement in gangs, seeing through the implementation of the Clean Trucks Program improving the welfare and lives of workers.
