I wanted to make it clear that I see nothing wrong with making money, as long as it is not at the expense of other people that have to pay the consequences for someone's selfish actions. Bob Bisno who wants to build 1,950 units off of Western Avenue, does not have to build that many units to turn a profit. Bob Bisno has a "me first" attitude and continues to tell the community what they need.
There is no way of getting around the fact that the Ponte Vista development will greatly impact Western Avenue. Western Avenue is already at it maximum capacity for vehicles! Bisno continues to think that his development will not be a problem with traffic and the infrastructure, because he gets statistics that do not tell the whole picture. Bisno also does not live in San Pedro and does not have to deal with Western Avenue.
From a spiritual point of view, "God calls us to celebrate the riches of life, not a life of riches. Where our treasure is, so is our heart." Bisno's heart is not to help San Pedro. It is to put as much money in his pocket as he can!
Lets work together and keep San Pedro a residential town and not duplicate Playa Vista's problems at Marina Del Ray with traffic and infrastructure meltdown.
John Winkler
