The Los Angeles Maritime Institute is seeking volunteers to
participate in its Local Tall Ships program. A 90-minute meeting
for people interested in the program will take place on Saturday,
Jan. 19 at 10 a.m. Anyone interested in giving back to the
community by improving the outlook and self-confidence of
young people is encouraged to join. Sailing experience is NOT
necessary. The meeting will take place at the Los Angeles
Maritime Museum, which is located at the foot of 6th Street in
