The two next meetings are at 6 p.m. July 18 at:
Berlin Coffee House,

and Aug. 15, at

Auto Theft on the Rise in the Harbor
The Los Angeles Police Department is urging residents to protect themselves against auto theft, which is on the rise in Wilmington, San Pedro Harbor City and Harbor Gateway.
Cars older than 10 years can easily be stolen with a “shaved key.” If your car is more than 10 years old, consider asking your mechanic to replace the ignition. A “shaved key” cannot turn a new ignition.
- Never leave keys in the car
- Lock the doors
- Close the windows
- Park in well lit, visible areas
- Never leave the engine running and vehicle unlocked, no matter how short of a period of time
- Don’t leave valuables in the car.
